The year was 1991 and we had just purchased and transformed the White Mountain estate of a wealthy widow into an award-winning New England boutique country inn when one of our very first guests asked if we would do their wedding that summer. What followed were years of a very special pleasure achieved from our orchestration of dozens upon dozens of charming and enchanting Spring and Summer forest/garden weddings each year. Every event was unique in theme, décor and numbers of guests and all were Destination Weddings with brides and grooms and guests arriving from Texas, Ireland, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New York, Columbia (South America), even Zimbabwe (Africa), just to list a few.
We quickly became recognized as specialists for Destination Weddings and were therefore relied upon by distant brides and grooms to handle every detail of their very special day. From trendy menus, quite unlike standard wedding fare to flowers, cakes, tent décor, seating, guest accommodations, church arrangements, clergy or justice selection, rehearsal dinners and even gourmet breakfasts for the morning after. Many times we felt very much like extended family members and still remain in frequent contact with those lovely folks of all ages who put their wedding plans and execution in our hands.

Our weddings ranged in size from six guests to nearly two hundred but truthfully we enjoyed the smaller events the most, simply because the intimacy of a smaller group allowed us to be even more creative and attentive to far more amenities than was possible with larger numbers. We also discovered over the years that brides who wanted small, intimate affairs were left with little in the way of romantic venues from which to choose simply because most all sites insist on minimums of fifty or one hundred guests.
Recently, we traded snow for sun, north for south, mountains for sea and a brand new and exciting adventure not far “a field” from the wonderfully rewarding days we spent serving the desires of those marvelous guests at our beloved inn. Only now, we have far more than one exciting and scenically beautiful destination for you to select and the venue itself, our coastal cruiser, is something to be long remembered. So take a peek at the four regions we are currently offering to our week long touring guests and decide if you prefer to have spectacular Lake Champlain, tropical Key Largo, tranquil Sanibel / Captiva Islands or elegant Charleston as small wedding backdrops! Each promises the best warm weather and the calmest water for a Saturday wedding and reception and enables us to present to you a myriad of possibilities to make your day the best of all.
Every carefully chosen destination insures your guests of an outstanding spot on the map to visit or stay for an extra few days. We’ll even assist them with any vacation plans they may have. If you prefer a church wedding followed by reception aboard on the upper deck, we’ll make that wish come true as well.
If you would like to consider a honeymoon aboard your own private yacht (we offer a honeymoon registry), we’d love to discuss that with you, too, but first things first . . . .send us an e-mail with your mailing address and telephone contact along with the month you are planning on and the full names of the bride and groom.
We’ll begin by providing you with rate details (you’ll be pleasantly surprised), descriptions of a few very unique services we offer to keep your total costs to a minimum and more fabulous backdrops in addition to the four we just mentioned, along with theme concepts, tailor-made for the locale you’ve selected. We’ll also include a list of brides and grooms who allowed us the privilege of making their day complete and who would enjoy answering any questions that you may put forth.
We want to add our congratulations on your engagement to the many you have already received and we hope that you will include us in your wedding and or honeymoon plans.
