Mother-Ship Supported Kayak Adventure Touring Regions

The Sea Islands

From Charleston to Amelia Island

A personal itinerary may be chosen from a long list of charming southern towns and villages and historic islands from South Carolina to Florida, including Beaufort, Hilton Head, Daufuskie, Savannah, Sapelo, Darien, St. Simons, Little St. Simons, Sea Island, Jekyll, Cumberland, St. Mary’s, Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island. All along the calm waters of the Intra-Coastal Waterway, numerous opportunities for all forms of kayaking from gentle salt marsh to Atlantic sea kayaking will provide our guests with exciting eco-touring, incredible bird watching, marvelous photographic settings, beach picnics and outstanding paddling. No reason to overlook biking along this coastal countryside. Just say the word and off you go on a well planned route which will ultimately lead to a quaint dock where we’ll be waiting for you! History abounds everywhere in this region as does secluded Atlantic beaches, friendly welcoming faces and water-side, award winning places you will be glad to have visited!

The Florida Keys

From Miami to Key Largo and Islamorada

On the western side of the Keys, the calm waters of Florida Bay are better known as Paddler’s Paradise in the American Caribbean!
Here you may snorkel over spectacular coral reefs, dive to historic ship wrecks, swim, fish, picnic, beach, bird watch and commune with nature at its very best . . . . and all within a short paddle from your “floating island home”! Follow kayaking trails amidst tiny islands or kayak to an island “watering hole” and a chat with the locals. . You may choose, as well, to bike along sections of the Overseas Heritage Trail, shop in quaint galleries and boutiques, tour historic sites of the “Conch Republic”, savor beautiful sunsets, gaze at millions of stars, join a “Moonlight Paddle” or just mix with the locals and dance until dawn! More than likely though, it will be somewhat difficult to separate yourselves from the comfort, caring and amenities aboard the Mother-Ship for any prolonged period of time, so we’ll be expecting you to “come aboard” frequently throughout each day. . . .no excuses required!

Pine Island Sound and along the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Islands
by southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast

From Naples to Fort Meyers
Cabbage Key to Estero Bay, Boca Grande to Lovers Key

With the inaugural opening of both sections of “The Great Calusa Blueway”, we decided it was high time to add yet another grand paddling region to our winter schedule! The first phase, covering 40 miles on Estero Bay, has now been joined by an additional 35 miles on Pine Island Sound. Conditions range from the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico, through the beautiful bays of Sanibel and Captiva Islands, up the Imperial River or into sheltered mangrove creeks where bird watching is sublime and dolphin and manatee sightings most common. Rare shell collectors will revel in the selections found on the pristine beaches at Sanibel, hamburger aficionados must make a paddle to Cabbage Key for one of the world famous burgers served up at a tiny dock-side bistro there, serious shoppers will surely marvel at the very trendy shops in Naples, southwestern Florida’s challenge to Rodeo Drive, Worth Avenue or Fifth Avenue. Island biking is at its best and do bring your clubs along for a round at any of the dozens of
marvelous courses available.

Lake Champlain

Two states, one province, two awesome mountain ranges and one stunningly beautiful lake! From Fort Ticonderoga to Basin Harbor, Burlington and Montreal. From Lake Champlain to Saranac Lake and the Raquette and Ausable Rivers

This IS summer kayaking country! This IS New England, Upstate New York and Quebec at their very best! This IS a paddler’s dream come true offering all forms of kayaking venues and a Mecca for cyclists with over two hundred miles of Lake front biking paths and miles of hard surface inland trails in the magical mountains on both sides of the Lake. With warm, sunny summer days and cool mountain lake nights, who would want to be anywhere else during June, July or August? Since this is a popular pick of the international sports/adventure set, a wise decision to book early is clearly recommended. When you’re not paddling, cycling, hiking or walking, this region offers a myriad of additional joys to fill your evenings or perhaps that shopping day in
Montreal, “The Paris of North America”. So whether it’s a symphony, a summer theater, a country auction or a jazz festival, you’ll have much to choose from or perhaps just a good book, a glass of wine, a hammock, a cricket serenade, that lovely scent of pine drifting from the trees, more stars than you are accustomed to seeing and a gentle breeze off the Lake is all you’ll be needing to remind you . . .”you did good”!

Grand Coastal Tours

Our crew, avid kayakers all, will guide you to the most enchanting and exciting kayaking experiences in each of our regions where they may be joined by even more famous professional paddlers like the “Swamp Girls”, Sue Chapman and Linda Etchells featured in a recent edition of Southern Living Magazine or Bill Keogh whom ABC News calls an expert on the Florida Keys ecosystem and author of The Florida Keys, Paddling Guide. And to further enhance your vacation/holiday joy, members of local clubs all along the way will be invited to take you to those very secret places that only they may offer up for your paddling pleasure and this can all be yours, only on one of our Mother-Ship Kayaking Adventures!
